A kid at heart, Mary Kaye's entertaining style and innate understanding of Young People and yoga make her classes popular and inspiring for children of all ages.
After living the corporate fast track in Boston as an advertising director for magazines, Mary Kaye redirected her positive energy into a more family friendly career writing books and teaching children yoga. Drawn to its peaceful, heart opening benefits, yoga was the only outlet that helped her slow down and focus on what’s important in life. As a former athlete, Mary Kaye only knew how to move fast and push herself. Now her goal is to share yoga with the world so that other people benefit like she has.
Author of I Love Yoga, Breathe and Yoga for Teens, her books won the Young Adult Library Association Award for Reluctant Readers and the Parent’s Choice Award and were successful titles for DK Publishing and translated into 9 different languages. Mary Kaye is also a motivational speaker, talk show guest and mother of three. Her popular speaking engagements at high schools focus on the Power of Positive Talk which she has been promoting for years. With features on NECN, Martha Stewart Live radio, The Boston Globe and others, she brings great energy, lots of humor and a big dose of emotional intelligence to her work.
Mary Kaye also enjoys working with special needs children and athletes and visits teams to teach yoga to football, soccer, baseball, hockey and lacrosse players. Mary Kaye graduated from Vanderbilt University and studied ashtanga, kundalini, hatha, iyengar and anusara yoga, completing several levels of teacher training through the Radiant Child Yoga Program. Mary Kaye had a popular yoga show on public television and has spent over 15 years teaching and coaching in various sport and yoga programs. Mary Kaye lives in Wellesley with her family and 2 French bulldogs, Pearl and Moe.
